Men’s Faux Karakul Cap (Liaquat Topi) – Zigzag Pattern | Traditional Diplomat Style | Cruelty-Free Synthetic Fur | Black, Brown, White
The Karakul Cap, famously known as the Liaquat Topi or Diplomat Hat, carries with it a history of prestige, politics, and cultural identity. Its name comes from the Karakul sheep found in Central Asia, whose fur was traditionally used to craft these distinctively styled caps. For centuries, the Karakul cap was worn by Persian scholars, Afghan leaders, and Indian nobility, becoming a mark of status, dignity, and intellectual depth.
In the Indian subcontinent, the cap gained legendary recognition through Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s first Prime Minister, who popularized it as his signature style. Similarly, statesmen, poets, and scholars adopted it during public events, weddings, and cultural gatherings. Owning a Karakul cap came to symbolize refinement, education, and leadership.
However, original Karakul fur meant animal cruelty, something our founder Aman MiYA wanted to eliminate while still keeping the iconic diplomat look alive. After years of research and trials with Rampur’s traditional hat artisans, The MiYA Store successfully developed the Faux Karakul Cap—made from synthetic fur, cruelty-free, yet carrying the same elegance and warmth as the original.
Every cap is handmade with precision zigzag patterns, plush texture, and inner felt sweatband, ensuring durability and comfort. Aman MiYA often says: “A cap that once belonged only to kings and diplomats should now belong to everyone—without harming animals.”
Today, our Faux Karakul Cap is worn by men at Eid gatherings, weddings, Friday prayers, formal events, and cultural celebrations, making it a timeless accessory of pride and heritage.
